Hotel de Plataan

Delft

On a pretty canalside square in the old town, this place has a lovely ground-floor breakfast room/cafe with high ceilings and loads of light; in summer, seating spills out onto the square. The 29 rooms let the side down, being musty, worn, unattractive and with few amenities. They're also ludicrously overpriced. Rates include breakfast and secure parking.
