A timeless address since 1996 for traditional Dutch cuisine, this brown cafe cooks up heart-warming stamppotten (stews) comprising homemade meatballs, smoked sausage or vegetarian 'meat' ball alongside other ingredients such as tasty kale and bacon or endive with walnuts and cheese. The other house speciality is Groninger Rijsttafel – no rice, but plenty of bacon and onions with pickles and apple sauce.
