Pincoffs

Rotterdam

A clever re-use of a former customs house built in 1879, Pincoffs is Rotterdam's only truly boutique hotel. Blending recycled and vintage art and furniture with 21st-century style, it's an excellent, albeit slightly out-of-the-action, choice. In winter, a wood-burning fireplace blazes in the elegant bar; in summer, the terrace restaurant attracts river breezes. Breakfast costs €18; parking €16.

There are bikes for guest use and a watertaxi station nearby. The Wilhelminaplein metro station and tram stop are 700m south of the hotel.
