Hotel Stroom

Rotterdam

Housed in a converted power station, Stroom's designer studios come in a range of configurations – lofts have sitting and dining areas, standards have open showers in the middle of the room and lack closets. Trendy when it first opened, the rooms are now looking dated and worn. The downstairs brasserie where breakfast (€15) and other meals are served is more impressive.
