Ani & Haakien

Rotterdam

Ani and Haakien's excellent hostel sports designer furniture, lockers with power outlets, and lightning-fast wi-fi. Bathroom facilities are inadequate for the number of guests, but this may change after a planned 2019 renovation. Full marks go to the extremely helpful staff, courtyard garden with hammocks, well-equipped communal kitchen, comfortable lounge, and regular movie and pizza nights. There's no bar, though.

The hostel will close when the planned renovation gets underway; check the website for an update.
