Bird Jazz Club

Named after American jazz saxophonist Charlie 'Bird' Parker, Bird is the city's temple to jazz but also programs soul, hip-hop, funk and electronica. Check the online agenda to see who's playing and to prepurchase tickets. Its excellent restaurant serves wood-fired pizzas and small plates; the kitchen closes at 9.30pm. The club hosts after-parties during the North Sea Jazz Festival.
