Wereldwijven

A shop associated with a social enterprise, Wereldwijven (Worldpeople) trains migrant women in sewing and embroidery, giving them a potential income-generating skill, teaching them Dutch and offering networking opportunities and cultural connection at the same time. The enterprise funds itself by selling their work – the cushions, clothes, toys and other items lining the shop shelves are lovely.
