Tucked in a former shipyard and designed by architect Wouter Valkenier, built from recycled materials and with a focus on sustainability, this waterside spot is built out onto an island. With drinks including homemade lemongrass and ginger soda, plus bottled beer from local heroes Oedipus Brewery and Brouwerij 't IJ, it's a surprising oasis alongside the canal.
The largely vegan menu (mains €6 to €12) is all about organic, homegrown and locally sourced food, with an ever-changing selection of daily specials.
