Janjanbureh Camp

The Gambia


On the north side of the river, Janjanbureh Camp has small African roundhouses on a vast terrain between forest and water. It's a good base for exploring the river, and you won't have to look hard to find wildlife of the simian and avian variety.

Unfortunately, the camp is a bit worn down, and with no electricity, you'll have to rough it.
