St Apolline's Chapel

Guernsey

In the village of Perelle, this tiny chapel dates back to 1394. If you find it unlocked, you can see the remains of frescoes depicting The Last Supper. Dedicated to the martyred Apolline, a deaconess murdered in 249 AD, it's the only chapel of its kind in the British Isles. She is the patron saint of dentistry, so those with bad teeth are especially welcome here.
