Sôm·đam Tanontok 51

Hua Hin

A standout restaurant in a great dining neighbourhood, this is real Isan food cooked by a family from Khorat. There's everything you'd expect to find including grilled catfish, gaang orm (coconut-milk-less herbal curry) and many versions of sôm·đam other than papaya, including cucumber and bamboo shoot. It also does a squid lâhp.

There's no English sign; just find the smoky grill.
