Hua Hin

There are loads of Italian places around Hua Hin, but most just turn out cheap pizza and pasta. For a great meal and a nice night out, this white-tablecloth spot on the south side of the tourist zone is Italian through and through: from the chef to the wine list, and the Milanese-style sea bass to the grilled lamb chops.

It's open for lunch, but gets very hot here during the day as there's no air-conditioning – go for dinner instead.
