This hotel has tiny noisy rooms with minimal decor and noticeable ageing, but it's usually full throughout the high season. Of the half-dozen pier guesthouses (all of which suffer the same faults), this two-storey wooden behemoth sticking out into the ocean has the most historic charm and fairly decent beds.
All but three rooms come with air-con and some have sea views. If windy, you'll hear waves crashing below you as you sleep.
Mod Guesthouse and every other stilted building on the beach here might meet the wrecking ball soon; the legal issues over these buildings have been in the courts for years.
