28 Rachabutr Hostel

Ubon Ratchathani

Friendly and welcoming, with a great location, this home-turned-hostel, run by a charming elderly woman, is very backpacker-friendly. Rooms are simple (the dorms have just thin mattresses on the floor), and it's shared bathrooms only, but the whole place has character, with bric-a-brac furniture and creaky wooden floorboards. Some rooms have partial river views. Also rents motorbikes (200B).
