Bang Rong Seafood

Phuket

This rustic fish-farm-turned-restaurant sits on a floating pier amid mangroves, reached via a wooden boardwalk from Bang Rong pier. Your catch – red and white snapper, crab or mussels – is plucked after you order; you can have everything steamed, fried, grilled, boiled or baked. It also has classic noodle and rice stir-fries. This is a Muslim enterprise, so there's no beer.

You can hire kayaks (200B per hour) after your meal. It's 750m east of Rte 4027.
