At the south end of Hat Yuan, these old, rickety wood fan bungalows with balconies – some with hammocks – climb up the hill on stilts behind a palm garden, looking out to decent vistas. Price depends on the view, but there's not a huge amount of variation between bungalows apart from size, so grab a cheap one.
