Tara Raft

Kanchanaburi

Though it's just 350m from the bustle of Th Mae Nam Khwae, there's an entirely different atmosphere along Rong Hip Oi road; it's peaceful and very local. We aren't enamoured with Tara Raft's landlocked rooms, but the floating versions are the best of their kind in town – they're bright, nicely decorated and have good mattresses, TVs, mini-fridges and in-room safes.

The rooftop lounge is a nice touch too.
