Kampong Kata Hill

Hat Kata

Spread across two peaceful, intimate pavilions, this atmospheric restaurant overflows with traditional teak wood, weathered Thai antiques, softly tinkling music and wafting incense. Sure, it's geared towards tourists, but it's characterful, has keen staff, offers broad Kata views and serves some excellent local dishes and seafood, including lobster specials. Access is via a long, concrete stairway; there's no lift.
