Kangyuan

Top choice in Chiang Rai Province

If you like authentic Chinese food this place is a lifesaver, not least because it stays open later than most Mae Sai eating spots. Dishes are vaguely Sichuan-inspired – spicy beef noodles and hotpot (best in a group) – but it does dumplings and veggie options as well. No English is spoken but there's a reliable picture menu with prices in Roman numerals.
