Khao San Market

Top choice in Banglamphu

The main guesthouse strip in Banglamphu is a day-and-night shopping bazaar peddling all the backpacker 'essentials': profane T-shirts, bootleg DVDs of popular films and TV series, hemp clothing, knock-off designer wear, selfie sticks, orange juice and – of course – those wooden frogs that croak when you rub a stick down their spine. Cheap shopping thrills couldn't be better defined.
