The Treehouse

Top choice in Ayuthaya

Adventurous travellers will love this special countryside retreat 4km north of the island. The three guest rooms, giant deck and the bridge between them are built of wood – much of it reclaimed, giving it a castaway vibe – and one of the guest rooms is an actual tree house. Quarters are small and simple with bunk beds or mattresses on the floor and bathrooms require stepping outside.

The friendly owner makes breakfast with the help of her organic garden and when you're back from roaming the ruins in the city you can swim or kayak in the Mae Lam Lopburi.

Reservations are required and minimum stay is two nights.
