Tamarind Guesthouse

Top choice in Ayuthaya

Service couldn't be friendlier at this guesthouse within an attractively and creatively modified wooden building. Hidden in a backstreet across from Wat Mahathat, Tamarind feels like a retreat despite being close to major attractions. As in many wooden guesthouses, creaky floors and thin walls aren't ideal for light sleepers; we think the traditional decor (colourful glass, repurposed painted wood) amply compensates.
