Sala Ayutthaya

Ayuthaya

Stepping inside Sala Ayutthaya is reminiscent of entering one of the city's ruins, thanks to maze-like brick alcoves that lead to pure-white and wood-accented rooms and an equally minimalist pool and spa zone. The excellent (though pricey) restaurant, and some rooms, enjoy views across the river to Wat Phutthai Sawan, especially magical when illuminated at night.

A small art gallery heightens the sense of refinement.
