Two minutes from the train station on the east bank of the Pasak River, Baan Are Gong's creaky but characterful rooms inhabit a century-old teak building. The soundproofing isn't great in either the shared-bath original rooms upstairs or the modern ones below, but it's run by a welcoming, reliable family who keep everything clean, and the wooden deck is a great place to relax.
