Rock Sand Resort

Ko Chang

Touting itself as a flashpacker destination, this is the most upmarket of the knot of budget places at the north end of White Sand Beach, but feels overpriced in high season. The sea-view rooms are, however, decent and share a balcony. Waves beat against the foundations beneath the restaurant; be prepared to wade here at high tide.

You can only get here on foot along a short stretch of beach (past KC Grande) or the north via the scarily steep road to White Sand Beach Resort.
