Karama Lodge

Top choice in Arusha

Truly something different, off Onsea–Moivaro Rd on a forested hillside in the Suye Hill area just southeast of town, Karama offers 22 rustic and rather lovely stilt bungalows, each with a verandah and views to both Kilimanjaro and Meru on clear days. It’s signposted north of Old Moshi Rd.

There are short walking trails nearby and a creative restaurant that caters to vegetarians. Massage and yoga are also possibilities. Rates drop significantly outside high season.
