Kipepeo Beach & Village

Dar es Salaam

Laid-back Kipepeo, 8km south of the ferry dock, has raised chalets with balconies just back from the beach. Closer to the water, but behind a fence and a bit of a walk to the nearest bathroom, are thatched beach huts without windows, and a camping area. It's a sand-in-the-toes kind of place and has a beachside restaurant-bar.

Dekeza Dhows tours depart from here. On weekends there’s a Tsh5000 fee for day use of the beach (the cost can be redeemed at the bar or restaurant).
