Nothing fancy, but this is it for rock-bottom budget accommodation in Alishan. The hostel, down a side road to the left of the park entrance gate a 10-minute stroll from Alishan Train Station, is not always open (especially on weekdays) so call before you go. At the time of research, it was closed every Tuesday and Wednesday in May and June.
