Tim Ho Wan

Taipei

Come mealtimes, there are always long queues outside this Hong Kong dim sum chain, likely generated by its Michelin star and the relatively low cost. To avoid a horrendous wait, come on a weekday after 2pm. Try the transparent spinach dumplings with shrimp. Food is cooked in lard, so no good for non-meat eaters.

There is another branch of Tim Ho Wan in the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi mall (or Building A8) on the pedestrian strip in Xinyi.
