This plush hotel in the trendy part of the city is the creation of local designer Ray Chen. Every possible surface is covered in something – be it mirrors, copper or wood – in a mishmash of ornateness. Bathrooms are separated from bedrooms by a curtain. Everything is sumptuous; luckily light-filled windows reduce any feelings of oppressiveness.
There's a slice of space on the rooftop with a small swimming pool and views of Taipei 101. There's no on-site gym.
