Adic Driftwood Workshop

Hualien

This Ji'an workshop is where celebrity sculptor Adic Chun Kuan Wang and his apprentices turn driftwood and other waste timber into unusual furniture, spoons, smartphone cases and especially artistic light fittings. DIY chopstick-making experiences take around two hours (NT$200+). The shop and workshop is an outwardly uninteresting metal box unit beside Rte 11, around 5km southwest of central Hualien.

Alternatively, it's 3km southeast from Ji'an train station. Adic (literally 'earthworm') is an honorific name in the Amis language.
