Sofitel Ia Ora Moorea Beach Resort

Mo'orea

No, you're not hallucinating, the lagoon here is that turquoise. This excellent, modern Polynesian resort sports 114 units, including 39 opulent overwater bungalows and luxuriously appointed beach and garden units. It’s on the best beach on the island. The list of facilities is prolific, with two restaurants, a wonderful spa, a small pool and a diving centre.

It’s the only resort facing Tahiti, whose cloud-capped summits form a picture-postcard backdrop. This also means that it gets less sunshine in the afternoon.
