Moorea Surf B&B

Mo'orea

More a guesthouse than a B&B, this venture is popular with unfussy travellers and surfers lured by the proximity of the Haapiti surf break. Owner Tama speaks English and can guide you to the spot for 4000 CFP (two hours). Accommodation-wise, it consists of four pokey, wood-panelled rooms in a chalet-like building. There's a communal kitchen, or you can order a meal (2500 CFP).

The property opens onto a lovely bay, but don't get too excited – there’s no beach and the waters are murky at low tide. You'll need to rent a scooter or a car to get around the island from here. Cash only.
