It’s a bustling hub of activity on this lovely knuckle of beach jutting out towards a coral-laden stretch of lagoon. Scattered amid a flowery garden, the 22 bungalows aren’t going to win any architectural awards but are big, practical (most have kitchens and one to two bedrooms) and clean. Budget tip: it also harbours four cheaper, smaller rooms (book well ahead).
One quibble: there's no air-con. Les Tipaniers is a great spot for families and friends, but not private enough for a honeymoon. The resort also features two restaurants, a bar, a dive shop and a small water-sports centre. Free bikes.
