Hotel Hibiscus

Mo'orea

The best part of this venture is the grounds, covered in swaying palms and expansive lawns and highlighted by a svelte ribbon of white sand. The 29 functional thatched-roof bungalows, although they won’t knock your socks off, are tidy enough. Next to the pool there’s also an undistinguished motel-like building with 12 rooms.

They're bland but may be an option if air-conditioning is important to you. Hint: bungalows 1–3, 7–8 and 11–13 have lagoon views. The on-site restaurant overlooks the beach.
