Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa

Mo'orea

Magnificently laid out with real style and class, the Hilton is one of Mo’orea’s best resorts. Of the 103 guest units, 54 are built over the water and come with the requisite glass floor panels for fish-viewing and decks with steps down into the clear, waist-deep water. The garden bungalows have their own (small) plunge pool but are quite squeezed together.

Try for Deluxe Garden bungalows 46, 47, 48, 50 and 51, which have great lagoon views. Amenities include a water-sports centre, a dive shop, a pool, a spa, a gym, two bars and two restaurants, including a great crêperie on a pontoon. The beach here is particularly attractive (with top snorkelling) and the activities desk is great – both of these aspects are important since the hotel is quite isolated from the main areas of the island.
