A one-man-band affair in the kitchen, this little restaurant on the fringes of Winterthur is wonderfully inviting, with warm wood, bistro lighting and cheek-by-jowl tables. On the menu: creative salads (Italian fennel with fig, Parma ham and fresh herbs, for instance), pasta dishes, tarte flambée and belly-warming classics like pork roast with port-wine jus and buttery Spätzli (egg noodles).
