Locals have been eating, drinking and making merry at this wood-panelled inn since 1445. It's still an incredibly cosy choice today, with a tiled oven, cheek-by-jowl tables and old black-and-white photos. Come in for regional fare with a Med-style twist, such as tartare of Aargau water buffalo with pecorino mash or lemon ravioli with wild-garlic pesto. There's always a handful of veggie picks, too.
