Hotell Continental

On the site of the old customs house, the Continental is reputedly Sweden’s oldest hotel, dating from 1829. It's loaded with old-world charm (think grand chandeliered foyer and marble staircase), but its rooms are more business-style with light wood furnishings, parquet floors and smart, if small, slate grey and cream bathrooms.
