Some of the area’s most luxurious resorts become very affordable in summer; condos at Kläppen, 20km south of Sälen, for instance, are a smoking deal in July and August, when the price of an average hostel room fetches you a fully equipped apartment with kitchenette, patio, Jacuzzi and pool access. The resort can also book guided canoe tours and other activities.
