La Plantation

Réunion

This upmarket B&B nestled amid sugar-cane fields has a small pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi and lush tropical garden with staggering views of the coast. There are three individually decorated rooms and two larger suites, all featuring handsomely designed bathrooms. Note that only one room comes with sea views. It's on the road to Grand Coude, about 5km from St-Joseph. Cash only.

At the end of the day, make sure you treat yourself to a copious table d'hôte (€28). Owner Eric can get by in English.
