Royal Dutch Cafe

Top choice in Galle

The sign says 'Relax Zone' and this is a fine place to sit back and enjoy the company of cafe owner Fazal Badurdeen, who has a million stories to tell. He also seems to have almost that many teas and coffees, from cinnamon to cardamom to ginger. There's a small menu of curries and good banana pancakes for breakfast.

There are just four tables, or enjoy Galle street life from the colonnaded terrace.
