Sigiri Lion Lodge

Top choice in Sigiriya

An outstanding place to stay, thanks to the genuine welcome and attention paid to guests by Ajith and Ramya, the owners. Rooms are divided between the quiet old building and a modern three-storey block that has large wood-clad rooms on the top floor. All are immaculately clean and spacious and have tables outside where you can linger over breakfast.

It's up a little lane about 500m west of the village. If you need air-conditioning, there's an extra charge of Rs 1000.
