Ariya Rest House

Polonnaruwa

This large and well-run restaurant is set up for the tourist groups, but it's a convenient place to take a break between sightseeing. The lunch buffet is available all afternoon and the food is good, with tasty manioc, banana flower and wild mango curries. It's 4km from the centre, but easily reached by bicycle or three-wheeler.

There are also five rooms here (Rs 3000 to 5000) with a small spa attached.
