Restaurante Sánchez

Castilla-La Mancha

Opened in 1916, this local icon has a loyal following for its unfussy home-style cooking, reasonable prices and surprisingly polished service. The dining room, strung with vintage photos and oil paintings of famous Sánchez camareros (wait staff) lies hidden behind the bar: a fine setting for lamb meatballs, roast goat, eggs with blood sausage and pine nuts, and other meaty classics.
