As much as for the elegant updated-Andalucian cuisine, meals at the Parador de Granada are worth a splash-out for the unique Alhambra setting: in a converted 15th-century convent that was once a Moorish palace. The terrace (also an all-day cafe) is a magical spot for a drink or a meal (Costa Tropical prawns, lamb-and-almond stew) gazing out on the Generalife.
