Parador de Granada

Granada

Few Andalucian moments rival waking up in within the walls of the dazzling Alhambra. Granada's luxurious parador (state-run-hotel) is housed in a 15th-century convent (also a former Moorish palace), in which you can still see 14th-century tilework and the Reyes Católicos' original tombs, but rooms are smartly updated in creams, greys or silvers. It's mega-popular (obviously), as is the modern-Andalucian restaurant.
