Parador de Cáceres

This old-town conglomeration of 14th-century Gothic palaces has swish, modern interiors, with bedrooms and bathrooms filled with style and comfort. Superior rooms are standouts: one sporting original arched red-brick ceilings, another fantastic Ciudad Monumental views. Specify if you'd like a double bed (most rooms are twins).
