Camping Las Palmeras

This vast campground hugs the beach 5km northeast of Tarragona. Staff are friendly and multilingual; windsurfing, kitesurfing and bike hire are offered. There's a lovely pool amid parkland just back from the sand, along with untouched coastal woodland nearby. Whitewashed wood-panelled bungalows (€99 to €179) for four to six people cater to non-campers. It's cheaper outside summer.
