La Cátedra

Tucked into a lively pedestrianised alley (one of Santander’s oldest), La Cátedra has been serving distinctly Cantabrian pinchos and raciones since 1866. These days you'll find everything from local goat’s cheese to San Vicente de la Barquera oysters, washed down with Spanish wines. Grab a tall street-facing table or sit inside among soaring ceilings, exposed-stone walls and heavy wooden beams.
